Lariat trim.
Not disappointed but I would change the location of the hazard button. At first I was hitting it while playing with the radio but I’m getting use to it.
I’d also have the passenger side window on a auto switch and move the window switches more forward or to the console.

I’d like to see more gauges too, oil temp, voltage and water temp in place of a tach. Why a tach on a auto anyway?

Vent windows on the SuperCab would be nice.

I was a little dissapointed with the color selection... I would have loved to see Lead Foot offered along with Race Red. Many cities/county's use bright red trucks as fleet vehicles and not offering a standard red (or any red) in XL trim may lead those customers elsewhere.
Ditto, the Mustang has a real nice blue, Kona Blue. I’d love that color on my truck.

I have an interest thread for a module to convert all windows to auto up and down.

Agreed! If they offered Kona Blue on the Ranger, I woulda got it! Not that I dislike the Magnetic I got, I've always liked a metallic dark grey, but dark blue has always been my favorite.

Another +1 for a smaller key fob. Or make the current one a phone too.

The hand brake is a towing thing, it needs to have an auxiliary brake capable of holding the truck on some specified incline while at full towing capacity. Rather than putting in a stupid foot pedal thing, it's right there and easy to access. Also, my guess is it's there so the RoW ranger can have a clutch pedal and they just re-used the hand brake location.
yeah, i get that, but it could just have easily been a Foot brake or an electronic brake like in other vehicles.
it's simply in the way in its current location.

1. ridiculous hand brake? This is 100% better than that idiotic floor pedal taking up real estate needed to stretch my leg. This is a MUCH BETTER design.
2. cup holders? really? if this is one of the big issues - Ford hit it out of the park.
3. Ok. maybe, but nitpicking here.
4. Couldn't care less about the Lariat. Just a collection of flu flu crap I will never pay for.
5. Why? if I wanted a F-150, I would buy an F-150. Have zero interest in this.
  1. its the ONLY TRUCK i've seen with a hand brake, none of out other trucks need it, and this one doesn't either. Its an Aussie / euro thing, because THIS truck was never intended for the US market.
  2. YES... and its the location of them that makes them awkward
  3. i made a list of the item/features the Lariat has over the XLT... its huge, so for the price difference it was a no brainer FOR ME
  4. the major "functional features" should be the same... it's a TRUCK, and there should be a continuity of user features from Ranger to F150 to F250 ... IMHO.
  5. I've owned 4 previous Rangers and 5 F150's AND I love my Ranger, but i just feel there's things they could have / should have put a little more effort into.
  6. the primary reason for the high cost of this Ranger is that it was never meant for the US market and just like the Focus RS, had to be re-engineered / holmologated for the US. which added huge cost, so some areas had give way to others.

I think the Ranger is good, but it needs a few things.

1) Soft touch padding on the top of the door where many of us rest our elbow.
2) Push button start on all models...this is 2019!
3) Full time 4wd option
4) Flat load floor when rear seats are raised
the flat load floor... DEFINITELY lol omg it's so handy for gear and/or tools

I prefer the hand brake. I'd rather have the foot and leg room.

Ditto - I never liked the foot brake on my other Rangers. I much prefer the hand brake.

the hand brake is not a euro thing and is a vast improvement over a foot brake. IMO. looks like many here agree,

cost is on par with the others. Taco will cost you more similarly equipped. The GM twins are heavily discounted right now,
but building both on web results in a very similar price. I suspect those discounts are to make up for lost sales over the crap transmission. I wouldn't pay 10K for a Nissan, so did not look into that.

The price ratio between the Ranger and F150 is damn near the same as it was in 2012. Both are just more money.

Me too. I hate the foot brakes and I really, really, hate the electrical ones. Just give me a hand brake with a cable. Thanks Ford for giving me exactly that. Of course since my old GMC Canyon had the foot brake I still accidentally step on that pedal:). It's only been 3 weeks so I'm still unlearning that annoying part.

What would I really like? Fold flat rear seat, 60/40 like the Canyon had. Have the 2WD ride height not be so high. I get that they probably didn't want to make them too different for cost reasons but I'd really like it to be about 3" shorter. It would probably help with the aero as well. I wouldn't mind a way to open the rear sliding window but then my Canyon's rear window was also manual and I learned to live with it.

I pretty much like it as is honestly. I'll whine about the rear seat and then remind my self that in close to 11 years I probably folded the Canyon's rear seat down a dozen or so times. I'll complain about the ride height and even look into modifying some stock shackles to lower it an inch or so and likely never do anything about it. I'll bemoan the inability to open the rear sliding window from my driver's seat and then remember that' I can always crack the rear door windows and get pretty much the same effect and remind myself that if that's all I have to complain about I should just stop complaining as things are pretty good:). I mean if I can't even find enough things to complain about that I only have to find 2 synonyms to complain ( meaning I don't have to do a google search or crack open a thesaurus ) then I'm good.
