Gave my one week old Ranger SCAB XLT its first wax and detail this weekend. That's when I noticed that I have no trim between the windshield and the A-pillar. The seam where the windshield is bonded to cab is naked to the world. I know that for decades that windshields have been "glued" in place and the trim is just for show. I was just rather surprised at the lack of cosmetics. Is this one of Ford's infamous "content deletions " or have they always been that cheap all along .

They’re all that way now. Think it helps to keep moisture from accumulation under the trim pieces. It is a pain to keep cleaned out though

The windshield appears to be fine. Actually solid and even and square all around, very good workmanship , fit and finish. I just thought that for 36 grand they could have splurged on 3 bucks worth of plastic trim to finish it off. Thanks for putting my mind at ease none the less.

It's a common automotive practice...have a look in the parking lot at other vehicles...you'll see this is not special...
