Recently purchased a 2022 Ford Ranger Tremor and the other day I noticed the tailgate not shutting flush with the bed sides. There is about a 1/4" gap from the bed sides and some play after it is closed. I can move the tailgate back and forth on the latches. Everything works fine but this seems unusual. Anyone experienced this?

Look in the gap between the bottom of the tailgate and the bed - there might be something stuck in there that’s preventing it from closing as well.

Likely this…

Do you know why there's a "c" written in blue paint pen on your tail light? It's "c"uriously close to your issue.
I seem to recall my 2020 had that “C” on the taillight too when I got it. I eventually cleaned it off with something. No idea what it meant.

I had to really slam mine the first month. Tight fit at first, but it becomes easier. Better than being loose!
Just for the record are we still talking about tailgates?:lipssealed:
