My Unleashed tune yield was 288 HP and 387 lb/ft of torque @3000 rpms, my original Dyno is posted here somewhere …While we're talking tuners, has anyone had Unleashed and Livernois and can provide a comparison?
I'm currently stock but have the Livernois sitting on the shelf.
If I keep the truck I'm going to put a tune back on it and was curious if I should run what I have or if the Unleashed is appreciably better.
I'll help you out Doc. Here's your dynoMy Unleashed tune yield was 288 HP and 387 lb/ft of torque @3000 rpms, my original Dyno is posted here somewhere …

Premium fuel required?I use the Ford Procal and couldn't be happier. It made an immediate and very noticeable difference in power and shifting. It pulls my 6,000#+ camper up hills with no problem. Since my truck was still under warranty it maintains Ford's warranty. It is available from places like Stage3 for substantially less than Ford's price. It may not provide the absolute maximum output, but Ford engineers feel it still maintains the drivetrain longevity and it made a huge difference.
Yep. Ford Performance Tune requires it and it's highly recommended when towing anywayPremium fuel required?

Not really, Ford suggests it (93) to get the most performance out of the tune. You can run 87-89 but you won't get the additional HP and torque with it. If you run 87-89, the knock preventer will take over.Yep. Ford Performance Tune requires it and it's highly recommended when towing anyway

It's probably the crap gas in Oregon(best I can score is 92 octane), but one time I put regular gas in by mistake with my Ford Performance tune, it ran horribly enough to scare me. I think I let it get to quarter tank or something & added premium fuel right away. It ran normally after that. Not really, Ford suggests it (93) to get the most performance out of the tune. In Oregon you have 85 as Regular Gas. It's the same for Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and Idaho. Looking at the book it states to not run lower than 87 octane(and yes it makes a difference)It's probably the crap gas in Oregon(best I can score is 92 octane), but one time I put regular gas in by mistake with my Ford Performance tune, it ran horribly enough to scare me. Not sure what the cause was then, but with regular gas/Ford Performance tune at least couple times I thought it was going to stall. In Oregon you have 85 as Regular Gas.
