So many tuner choices. Which one is for me?

I'll make it simple; I want more low end push. I'm after the best bang for the buck with focus on torque not necessarily horsepower though both go hand in hand. My one and only complaint at present time with these trucks is the first couple of gears make me feel like I'm driving a 90's Honda civic unless I mash the pedal with purpose. Help educate me the path I need to go down.

Also, should I invest in getting a Pedal Commander unit to get rid of that God awful pedal response delay?

I have tunes from Unleashed and Gearheads. Both, in my opinion, make great low end usable torque. I feel as though the Unleashed 93 octane tune best fits me. I’m 51 and don’t drive my truck hard but when I want to or merging on the highway...it goes like hell. He also makes some changes to the shift points. It’s very drivable and my mpg did increase a bit too. Plus Torrie at Unleashed is very responsive to needs and requests.

Just my 2 cents, try a pedal commander first (doesn't have to be that brand). They do a surprisingly good job of making it feel more responsive just by changing the throttle mapping. At the end of the day you can just sell it if it's not doing the trick and move on to a remap.

Whats the deal with Sprint Booster vs Pedal Commander?

About same price but SB offers a valet mode and gas pedal lock mode which is sort of neat.

Does sport mode also change pedal response time? I never really paid attention.
I don't think it changes actual pedal response timing, but it seems to keep the turbo spooled so response to prodding the pedal is definitely quicker.

Flipping the shifter back into Sport mode also disables Auto Stop/Start.

Correct. No mapping changes, just shift points. Lower gear means higher rpms, which mean better response. Also tops you out at 8th gear IIRC.

First off just understand that the truck has a 4 cylinder. Because of that it will be like this no matter what you do.

Second, if you are not doing this already I suggest putting premium fuel in. That will help the overall performance on the truck. No it wont make a difference that a tune will but it won't disappoint.

Third, I have found Livernois to really be the one to go to. I have 3 tunes from them, high octane and low octane performance tunes and the flex tow tune.

I myself run the tow tune which focuses more on efficiency with a power boost in the low to mid range power band. Now you could switch between the differnt tunes but I do not recommend since the transmission goes back into learn mode every time you tune therefore becoming very rough for a while. i have also towed with this tune and it handles things well.

Hope this helps.
