What are the chances of battery voltage dropping below 12V while programming? Will that brick your ride? Might be worth the hassle of dragging a tender out to the driveway.

There's a good chance it could happen especially if your battery is already a little low. IIRC it does say in the Livernois directions to hook up a tender just as a precaution. Downloading the stock tune is what takes the longest, I think it was about 20-25 minutes. Flashing the new tune (s) only takes 3-4 minutes so there's no worries there.

If you are in doubt of your battery health then it is best to hook up a battery charger while programing. I believe a 10-20 amp charger should suffice
