So got my 265/70/17 general grabbers and this is happening. Removed that little piece if plastic on driver's side and it still has slight rub. So basically try to unbolt that piece and cut to pull out? What does anyone know about that fabtech kit to replace and give more clearance? Help!?

Just loosen the two bolts, shove the bar as far as it will go towards the front bumper. Tighten the bolts and this should give you a little more clearance. However, you will rub with the bars in place if you take this off road or flex the suspension. Take them off or up grade would be the best solution.

It won't make clearance worse by putting more bar out there?

any specific type of place install them... ford, tire shop etc?
It's pretty simple if you cut the stock one, you don't have to remove the front bumper to replace them. So a lot of shop can do it(But tell them right away that you don't want to keep the old one so they can cut them...or it's a long job other way). Even you at home if you have tools... there's is 3 or 4 others brands that make smaller intrusion beams..so you can look online for the one you prefer.

Yes, you are likely rubbing because of the spacers. Many others have those tires in that size with no rubbing. So, either lose the spacers or lose the crash bars, your choice.

Hey Neal
I thought the offset on your wheels was Same as stock, just a little wider (0.5?). You might also try w/o the spacers.

Buy the Fabtech kit. I have it and it’s alot higher quality than the others. It’s pricey but you get what you pay for in this situation
