So hey, I finally got a big hose shipment in, I will be cranking them out coming up here soon, the holidays will goof things up a bit, I have all the kids coming in for Christmas this year, (first time in 8 years) so I will work on them as much as possible.
I’m right there everyone, a bunch of them soon!

Thanks everyone!

For those of you who have purchased and have yet to install the dipstick, you should watch the new video, two key additional points are covered, the A/C line and the wire loom clearance.

In fact, everybody who has one of my dipsticks installed should review the video, 8:05 in the video is where it is specifically covered.
Just watched the new video. Hats off to all!

Sitting here drinking coffee trying to figure out how to "innocently" get out of some weekend plans so that I can stay home and install my new dipstick! The waiting is already killing me.

Just buy 2 of them so you have an extra when it rolls under the truck or when you drop one under the hood to never be found again..

It takes a miracle to find the 10mm socket. ?

Yes, family Christmas is more important than a dipstick, although I will be glad when my purchase time comes. A few years ago I made the decision to be with my parents every Thanksgiving and Christmas until they die. I know it’s getting pretty close, but I’m thankful for those times. So, go enjoy family and Christmas.

Dipstick installed. Yea me! Did it in an hour? Hell no!

Edit: Never mind my question!!!! Mike sorted it out for me. Yet another kudos to Mike.

Installation easy except for one step.... that dipstick does NOT slide right in and position itself. Not. Not. May be just my truck. My be that I am an idiot. Regardless of reason it would not go in properly. Yes I watched the video. 72 3/4 times. Typing this now on my phone in the garage with my dirty fingers. Finally got to the point that I seriously thought of simply reinstalling the factory stick and saying "F*** it." That's when I knew I had to back up and go to plan B.

I'll probably never explain it correctly but here goes. I ended up inserting the stick all the way to the left of the AC line. Had a light focused down to the new transmission fitting so I could see exactly what I was doing and where the stick was going. Going this route you can actually go down past the new fitting, which allowed me to then bring the top of the stick under the AC line, then pulling it back up and over to the mounting point. At this point the nut was right by the new fitting.

My truck is a '23. And the wire loom by the mount was BIG TIME in the way when trying to mount the stick. While I used a wrench to bend the loom bracket down, I had to move it a lot. Probably 3/4 inch or more. All '23 models? Just mine? No clue. Just an FYI for you.

Lastly, video states to ensure that you have 3/4 to an inch of clearance between the AC line and the installed stick. If not, gently push the AC line. Well... I can gently push the AC line. But it moves the entire line and everything connected to it. It is not bending and giving me more clearance. And yes, I did give it more than a "gentle" push.

So, stick is installed. Haven't checked the fluid yet as it is not warm. Will do so later.

Stick is high quality!!!! Very happy with final product. Nice job Mike.

Question for the group here please. I have roughly 1/4 to 1/2 inch clearance between the stick and the AC line. Will this be ok? Or am I in trouble due to it potentially hitting the AC line?

I PMed a message to you, simply grab the left side of the A/C line where it goes from tube to the hose, grab the section by the dipstick bracket, push on the section by the dipstick while holding/pulling on the left side of the A/C line, you can push the section by the dipstick straight back.

Did you loosen the A/C line bracket and move it up and back? (see the notes)
