That's essentially what I use... That and some fire starters.

And if they don't work, I have a blowbtorch I carry in the toolbox. LOL

I mean I still have a stash of regular lighters and regular matches I keep stored in zip lock bags inside other bags, but shit has to be real bad for those to come out at this point in the game.

I honestly don't have any matches.

I don't think I've owned any since you stopped being able to buy strike anywhere matches.

Well I figured lighters can stop working for any number of reasons, so 3 is 2, 2 is 1, and 1 is none.

So am I to understand that you can mount an Element Extinguisher in the bed, maybe kinda protected, like under a rail that the sun and water "might" reach it and the that is ok?

Ya but you can't toss those into a pool of flammable...
Sure you can, just find something to get the activation button to stick?

I would imagine that it would be perfect for something like that. The stupid cigarette trick from the movies doesnt work...

Decided that I needed a fire extinguisher a little while back. I don’t like the larger canister extinguishers because of the life-span and size which makes mounting tricky.

I went with an Element E50 extinguisher stick. These things are awesome. Last longer than a smaller canister, and do not have a shelf-life. (Solid state material) they do have some drawbacks - cost and not being able to stop it once it starts when compared to a canister. But for me the pros outweigh the cons, making it well worth it.

I ended up drilling a few holes I. The rear under seat storage compartment and mounting it under the rear passenger storage space.

Fits perfectly and is out of the way and tucked in nicely.
Bolted in with stainless steel bolts/nuts/washers. Retention strap with some rubber grommets to clean it up as well. I ended up cutting the screws shorter with a Dremel because it was hitting the body underneath. Once cut shorter it fits perfectly.

All-in-all I’m super happy with how it turned out!

Looks great! This is one really important thing to keep in your car for emergencies.

Thanks man! After witnessing another vehicle burn to the ground from a small fire that easily could have been stopped by a small extinguisher, I figured it was time to at least get somewhat prepared lol

100% right on that. I like to keep a window breaker in my car just in case I ever accidentally drive in a lake. You never know...
