We help people sell their Rangers in the easiest way possible.
I have a tactical LED flashlight with glass breaker and seat belt cutter in my center console box...and Auto/Marine canister extinguisher mounted in the truck bed. ...also keep a mid length handle , full size serrated blade shovel (Kobalt from Lowes) good for grass fires, mounted in the truck bed....

.
Sounds like you're prepared for anything. If the apocalypse goes down, we know you'll be fine.

Decided that I needed a fire extinguisher a little while back. I don’t like the larger canister extinguishers because of the life-span and size which makes mounting tricky.

I went with an Element E50 extinguisher stick. These things are awesome. Last longer than a smaller canister, and do not have a shelf-life. (Solid state material) they do have some drawbacks - cost and not being able to stop it once it starts when compared to a canister. But for me the pros outweigh the cons, making it well worth it.

I ended up drilling a few holes I. The rear under seat storage compartment and mounting it under the rear passenger storage space.

Fits perfectly and is out of the way and tucked in nicely.
Bolted in with stainless steel bolts/nuts/washers. Retention strap with some rubber grommets to clean it up as well. I ended up cutting the screws shorter with a Dremel because it was hitting the body underneath. Once cut shorter it fits perfectly.

All-in-all I’m super happy with how it turned out!

Beautiful installation and very secure. I have a pair, on on each front seat but the passenger one fell off, the 40 pound Gorilla tape let me down.

This waterproof case from Nanuk makes it clear to anyone what’s inside. Top quality too.

I'm thrilled with the 905 that Duke recommended, perfect for in-truck use and comes with us when kayaking. And fits perfectly on the Supercab floor in the back.

How long does the charge last on those, assuming limited use? I'd be interested as an emergency back-up or for when back-country camping.

Couldn't tell you, but when coupled with a solar powered battery bank its theoretically infinite until said power pack itself dies.

These small extinguishers might provide a peace of mind and useful in limited applications. Just don't expect too much from them.

The below started as an engine fire and quickly engulfed the entire F150. We used over 20 regular sized extinguishers.

Holy crap! 100% agree how important it is to know the limitations of your equipment.

Agreed, my thought is having an extinguisher is def need to understand only good for small fires or maybe to just push some flames back while extracting someone from a wreck for example.

I tucked my 2.5 lb halotron fire extinguisher on the left side of the rear seat between the seatback and the side panel. It fits perfectly in that spot without a bracket. It's held tight by the two seatback screws (covered with rubber plugs) and the side panel. I prefer this location to having it attached to the passenger seat bracket where it gets in the way.

So on my search for a Fire Extinguisher for the Truck I came across a neat little Fire Extinguisher that I will be getting here shortly! It is the Element Fire Extinguisher that is made in Italy and is already certified by NATO, RENA(not familiar with them either) and CE.

How did I find it? Simple Google search for Automotive Fire Extinguishers is all and it was one of the top results. After taking a look, I definitely had interest and figured I should share it. Even Jay Leno like it!

Here is the link to the site!

Here is the video for Jay!

Interesting. On their site there are plenty of good reviews. Also this is meant to help you get out of a really bad situation. It's not meant to replace a team of firefighters

I just drink a beer, wait 10 minutes, and pee on the fire......
Doesn't want beer just give you like 5 hours worth of pee or is the ratio a little off?!
