I finally installed the ARB single in my Ranger.

Couldn’t come up with a better way to stick it in the engine bay, so I fabricated the same style of bracket as dmeyer302 did back in post #23

Fits well vertically, with a trimmed down wiring harness ran underneath it. Controlled by the Trigger 4, I can use the phone to turn it on/off, as well as the switch on the trigger itself. No need for an in-cab switch, since it’s not like I’ll be using it from the driver’s seat anyways.

Two 3-meter hoses aren’t cheap, but at least I won’t ever have to worry about melted or punctured lines. Besides. I didn’t need to run the whole length as a braided hose, but I didn’t know how I’d route it when I purchased the lines.

It’s convenient that the reinforcement behind the bumper only covers a portion of that area, makes it easy to drill a hole for the quick-connect fitting.

All-in-all, install was easy and the final result is both functional and discrete.

Did you wire the arb direct to the battery or the trigger controller?

Do you have any more information on how you wired the compressor to the truck? Did the bracket or the compressor come with instructions on how to do that? Thanks for sharing!
I don't remember the Bracket coming with the wiring instructions. I made a custom harness for the compressor however it would be fairly easy to wire it. You would run the wiring down through the door jams and out through the firewall just above and to the left of the brake pedal. The only thing that needs to be run out there is the positive and the negatives. However if you do get the arb harness I suggest cutting the fuses out from near the compressor and getting them as close to the battery as you can. Its much safer having your fuses as close to the battery as possible.

I am currently using a harbor freight 100 psi 12v air pump which works ok, just takes a while and gets hot. The ARB sets ups are out of my price range for the amount of off roading I will be doing but I think I will be going with the Milwaukee M18 inflator. Reviews have it doing 4 tires 15 psi to 30 in about 10 minutes or less. I already am invested in the M18 batteries at work so just need the tool and I will be set.

I am finally happy with my install. ARB Single in the Decked ammo can. I will be moving the check to the back, so I can air up without opening the cans. Mostly for when its covered with my camp gear and cooler.

Any issue with thr elements getting into the ammo can , and damaging the compressor ?
