Does everyone jack up their truck or are they lifted enough? My running boards are in the way and it’s too hard to reach without jacking.
I lift the body with a small floor jack so my chubby @$$ can slide under with ease. I lift the drivers side so the oil is directed to the drain plug.

The Fumoto and the Valvomax are both very popular.

I have the Valvomax but have yet to install it as all my oil changes so far have been done by the dealer.

THIS is the one I have. It includes the hose so should be nice and tidy when doing the oil change.

I'll find out in 1000 miles as that's when I'll do my first oil change myself.
Is the one you linked the correct version? According to Amazon it won't fit. They're saying this is the one that fits:

https://www.amazon.com/ValvoMax-Oil...----------1&vehicleName=2021+Ford+Ranger&th=1

I just want to make sure I get the right one

There is apparently a lot of confusion on the drain plug size but everything I have found says it is M12-1.75, not the 14-1.5 that Amazon says will fit.

If you go to Advance, Autozone, etc. and search for an oil drain plug they will all be 12-1.75.

Thank you! Just ordered the Valvomax

You want the one in the original post. The M12 x 1.75, that is the one I have. I never trust the Amazon fit sizing. It is confusing it with the 3.2 engine. You can go to the Valvomax sight and verify.

Thanks. Just ordered it directly from Valvomax.

I ordered mine directly from Fumoto. You need the adaptor/spacer for it.

The search an match database for auto parts on Amazon isn't near as good as eBay's. I never trust Amazon's results.

I use a vacuum extractor through the dipstick port. On our Rangers, it gets just about all of the oil out.
