Oil change and looking at Fords

Was at the dealer getting an oil change today.

2 used Rangers 2021 and 2022 models, the '21 had 40k on it. 4 door 4wd XL with a sale price of $31,000.
2022 XLT FX4 was $35,000

2 Broncos -
4 door Wildtrack $63,000 with a 2.7 motor and auto transmission.
2 door Badlands with 2.3 motor and 7 speed manual was $56,600
I went to the dealer page and with "excellent credit" interest was 8.5%

They had some sort of Mustang station wagon looking car on the floor. It actually looked pretty good.

I’d love to have a 2 door Sasquatch… but for the asking price I’d buy a 3 yr old Wrangler Rubicon loaded up. Then I could worry about rocker arms and sensors vs turbos and 10r80s for less money

Wow an 21 for $40 Highway robbery...

I got my 23 Tremor Lariat Tech package for $46. The sticker said 53. I laughed at them when they started at that. I told them I'm walking right now this is a waist of time.

I’m guessing that’s their financing or a bank with preferred kick back. Ask for Ford financing.

When I bought mine 2 years ago, the finance guy was telling me I’m getting 4.5%. I mentioned the Ford website showed 0.9%. He said oh you want to finance through Ford. Then pulled a chart out detailing credit score and loan length vs interest rate. Way better than a bank. I took 3 years @ 0.0%. Maybe bring that up at the very end when all the negotiation is settled.

I see prices are not any better than they were when I was looking ...
Early 2023 one of the few dealers with used Rangers wanted basically $38k for a '21 STX and $37k for a '20 XLT.
