Hate to pay outrageous cast for an oil changes at a Ford dealership.
anyone use a nationAl oil change company?
any opinions welcome.
Receipts are documents! The Ranger has 3 years bumper to bumper and 5 years power train warranty. The required services need to be documented to keep the warranty. Otherwise you might end up with a lot of discussions and a big bill if shit happens !
Yes, a "high performance, direct injected, turbocharged 4 cylinder many variable cams, forged everything and powered metallurgy block". I think I'll stick to high quality synthetics instead of going to the Quick (lube) Rip and getting mystery oil from a rusty steel barrel Not that it's what you were suggesting, but my dealer is charging 2x that for the same service (dealers suck for this reason).Got my first oil change for $38 at my Ford dealer. It's only a 4 cylinder.
Ok... I'll bite.Got my first oil change for $38 at my Ford dealer. It's only a 4 cylinder.
I think people assume that the less cylinders it has, either 1. the less oil it will take (false) or 2. the less complicated and precise it will be (also false) or 1 and 2 together.Ok... I'll bite.
What does the number of cylinders have to do with the cost of an oil change?
Not if you do the oil change by your self. The service has to be performed by an certified service place. Then the service is documented with an official invoice and also visible in the computer system for the Ford dealer if there is a warranty claim. And you will see this service on CarFax...Receipts are documents!
