An additional $20 for another quart or two seems a bit excessive to me. True there might a little higher cost to dispose of the extra quart but not enough to matter it seems to me.
Like I said, I don't market the deal, but they have a line of 10 cars every morning at 8am, use Mobil 1 synthetic for the price point, are quick, clean, courteous and also include a free car wash.

A 1990's powerstroke (15 quarts) is also a V8, so it would be a good deal to get your oil changed in that for 89$.

I had a 2.8L 4cyl diesel jeep which took 7.8 quarts.

99% of commodity engines are using ~6 quarts now, 10 years ago it was ~5 quarts. My guess is the change has come from the addition of forced induction, variable valve timing, and oil coolers, block space is nearly unchanged.

The prices I posted were in regards to gas engine prices exclusively, lots of rednecks 'round here. They have an entirely different pricing for diesel. When I'm due for my next oil change, which at the pace I'm putting miles on my truck will be in about 6 weeks, I will post a pic of their advertised pricing. It's not posted on their website or I would've already linked it here.

In any case, I buy the 5 quart jugs of mobil1 4 at a time for about 24-26$ when they are offering half off the oil filters AND the 12$ off each 5 quart jug via mail in rebate.

My oil changes with Mobil1 Extended Performance cost me about 17-20$ and a few mins with the roller in the driveway (I also rotate the tires when I do the oil). I was putting 2500 miles a month for the first year I was driving it, so it's at 37K now. I change at 7500~ miles or so.
