The consensus on the other forums I am on is that the UPR catch cans are one of the very best you can get.

I had one on my Ecoboost Mustangs for 6 years and it never gave me a problem. I especially liked the braided hoses with factory style quick connects.
UPR's hoses and connectors are superior to even Mishimoto's it seems.

I like the Mishi mounting bracket but I think the filter medium and second vacuum port puts the UPR first for those who want one.

All of them except the JLT are a literal pain to install.

How is a JLT different? Don't you have to tap into the same PCV valve? Not very familiar with JLT that's all.

JlT (at least when I first looked at it) had you disconnect one end of the factory hose and insert a fitting. You only had to struggle with one manifold connection.

I still have this thing from when I first installed my Mishimoto catch can. It's a reminder of how much a pain in the f*!&#%^ a@#$ cheekz it was to install. Might turn it into an ornament later so the Install gods would appreciate my hard work.

Yep. That one down low is a mofo. The rest simple.
I will once I can get a better idea where hose fittings are located. Dark blurry pics don't help much.
That’s because you cannot see it. It’s all by feel. Major PIA but can be done even with my big meat hooks. Scratched and bloody, yes, but job done.
It was enough of a PIA, I left mine on when I sold it!!!!!

Is this the only line I need to deal with?
I heard they relocated it on the '22 models.

Everytime I see this thread pop up my left eye starts twitching and I get the shakes, remembering what a PITA the install was, and how the Mishimoto hoses cracked and needed to come off the truck in less than a year. Removal was also a giant PITA.

Just say no, to mishimoto at least

There are 2 but the one under the valve cover is the bane of our existence. The other one is easy. I have no clue on the 22s. Mine was a 19.

On the 22's, they relocate one of the fittings to the top of the Intake Manifold, and then the hose that runs to the can, iirc, hooks into a hose coming from down lower somewhere. UPR redesigned the hoses for their kit to accommodate the changes on the mid cycle 21s - now 2023s

I checked mine yesterday after a couple thousand miles. Small amount of shit in it. Unknown how much is actually water, but the good news is, it didn't smell gassy like the catch can on my Audi always did

I found one of those small mirrors on a telescoping handle works well for first "seeing" where you need to feel once your fingers get in there.
A couple of times I had to get the mirror back in there and confirm I was in the right spot. then I could concentrate my efforts at that place and angle.

I don't know if I mentioned it earlier on this thread, or another similar one, but I only got any significant amount out of the can last winter when mornings are cold, and there is some humidity. Having bought the truck at the end of last September, I never went through the Arizona summer monsoon with it until the last couple of months.

So it has been rainy (and warm) lately, and once again I'm getting some stuff from the can's drain. Not as much as the cold winter mornings, but maybe 1/4 cup if I don't drain it for a few days.
The fluid caught this time of year is darker, looks like fuel/oil and nothing else.
The wintertime junk looks like light Mocha and has some foul stuff that I can't identify.
Liberal tears, maybe ?

In between our mild winter and the late summer rains, I get nothing out of the can.
Not even a drop.
And the same for this time of year (rains over) until we get colder mornings in December, nothing at all.

While in theory i like the purpose of the CC, I've had them on other vehicles and did get oil blow by in them, I'm just not 'feeling the reward' VS difficulty successfully installing, so I'll just let a sleeping dog lye as the saying goes, or leave well enough alone, or if it isn't broke don't fix it, another words I'm leaving it stock, .
