Is there a cheaper aftermarket option? Say like a Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, etc ..?

I was looking at the aftermarket head units but there’s a downside if I swap it out, I won’t have my back up camera and I would be losing the back up sensors.

You can get them on ebay for cheap or do what I did when I upgraded my Sync 2 to 3 on my F150 get one from a junk yard super super cheap and program it yourself.

I found a few on eBay I’ll just do it myself instead of paying an arm and a leg. They program them for you so you don’t have to go to ford.

i tried that as well and tried to discount the battery and fuses and still nothing unfortunately. Thank you

I'm on my 4th APIM and about to cross out of warranty and it's acting up again!

It’s better to get it replaced before your warranty ends. As mine ended 9,048 miles ago

You don't have to goto ford at all either way. FORScan and Cyanlabs will do what ever you need...

I did this driving to work yesterday. Seems that I do this quarterly.

My SYNC is so confused, I just did the soft reset, then the radio screen just stayed on afterward, keys in hand, out of the truck, door closed, it still had the screen on, did the reset again and it returned to normal, shutting down with the Ford logo.

Tried to do an update and it wouldn't, the icon just kept swirling.

But now the unit is working correctly, it used to on start up and be on NAVI, then go to AM radio when you hit audio, but now it's back to normal for the time being.
