I sent an email to 5 star today asking what hp and torque I should see with the spd downpipe. I got a reply about (to the wheels) +15 to 18 hp and +20 torque plus quicker spool. I then got a call as well from Richie (or Richy) who let me know they have downpipes in stock (SPD catted aluminized steel and SPD catted stainless steel) and that an updated tune is free if you buy the DP from them.

Super helpful

Gonna buy my DP in 4 weeks!
15 to 18 hp? Since when? All dyno's I've seen are 5 hp 30-40 wtq.
Watch which type of metal you buy, the cheaper ones I've seen throw alot of heat and turn orange. Here is another one that's well built with stainless....

That is true premium gives you a nice bump in HP.
Stock 87 octane gets 270 HP at the crank.
Stock 93 octane gets 255 HP to the rear wheels.
A 93 tune that gives you at least 45 HP to the wheels will get 300 rwhp. You can also go with 87 or 89 or 91 and achieve 300 rwhp if the 5 star 93 performance gets you 255 + 75 = 330 rwhp. Add a downpipe and that 345 rwhp. That's different than crank horsepower.
Dp don't add that much hp.. You'll gain 5. They pickup alot more torq due to quicker spool. The only way you're going to dyne 330 whp is by a E30 tune. No way a 93 tune will make that much safely. I've seen enough dyno's and done alot of research on gaining the most power safely. Most companies are all around 300-308 who on 93. E30 is around 330whp.

Nice to know, that's actually the cheapest one to buy that I've seen.
If you message them now they will still honor the 10% off from the black Friday sale. I just bought one $405 total. They will give it to you free if you dyno before and after and send them videos. Or give you 15% more off if you provide video/sound with oem exhaust.

Lmao. RP, fine don't believe me. Read it for yourself. And no FP tune is not garbage, it gives 30 more HP over just using higher octane, retains some warranty and parameters tested for safe power increase.

I have posted this many times in many mileage and premium gas debates but everyone chooses to ignore it when the facts are in there face. It is plain and simple, higher octane = more hp = more mileage per gallon for the ecoboost BUT NOT COST PER MILES ADVANTAGE....

Premium in a non tuned does give a nice boost. Look at the Bronco numbers. The Ranger is rated the 270hp on 87. It's more like 300 on 91 octane. Normally 91 doesn't have any ethanol in it. Ethanol plays a huge part in lowering mpgs.

I guess you will have to show me an HP increase to 300 whp on 91 octane stock, mine is tuned stock and makes around 287 hp on 93..
(all 91 octane in Fla is 10 % ethanol)

There are dyno's around online on stock tune with premium fuel. They make around 255-265 whp. 87 octane makes around 235.

No way a stock Ranger with premium gas is making 300whp. Not gonna happen. That’s 350-370 crank HP…

The fuel economies in that test were basically identical between the higher and lower octane. We're talking 99+ percent similar efficiencies in every test with the exception of one where lower octane edged out the higher by about 4%

Who said 300 whp? 300 hp @ Crank! Look at the Bronco Premium fuel vs reg fuel stock numbers. I feel like the forum is behind on times. Apparently fb pages is with it more.

That's your truck. All vehicles, locations, Temps will vary. Your unleashed tune seems kinda low compared to other tuners. Honestly
