I just got my tunes yesterday and flashed the 91/93 Performance Tune. I am going to run it for a couple of weeks then get a Dyno report.
I'll then flash the Towing Tune and do the same. I have a Dyno report on the stock tune and the Ford Performance tune so I am looking forward to seeing the numbers.
I will probably run the Towing Tune as a daily driver.
So did you ever get to the Dyno? I'm curious on the tow tune numbers

Also curious what the rough numbers would be with a 93 tow tune vs the 93 performance tune...

I don't know what the numbers are for the tow tune but I can tell you right now it's definitely more than what the factories numbers are. Also just be aware that the tow tune from Livernois allows you to run anywhere from 87 up to 93 octane without having to reflash it.

I can also just run 93 octane on the factory tune to get a fair bit more power and towing capabilities, so was curious what the difference would be in power....

I would predict 30 HP, and 45-60 FT Lbs torque.

So what numbers did you get?
He posted this in another thread. I'm assuming that's at the wheels:

Livernois Towing Tune
269.2 Horsepower @ 5450 rpm
328.9 Torque @3350 rpm

Livernois 91/93 Performance Tune
286.2 Horsepower @ 5350 rpm
332.8 Torque @ 3550 rpm

With how the tow tune field compared to the performance tune I'd say this is about right. I never dinotune mine or at least put it on the dyno just to see what the numbers were but I do accept those numbers

I have the 93 sport tune in my truck an I've had it in for over a year. I was thinking of going to the 87-89 sport for winter since I can't play with the power on iffy roads. This way I could run 87 or 89 an save 40-60 cents a gallon over the winter.

This has me thinking of going with the tow tune for the winter an if it works out just leaving it in.

Pit the tow tune in and call it good. Normally you dont know when you are going to tow next and to use a different octane all you have to do is select tge different octane. I myself just keep it with premium(91 out here) year round as the next one down is 87...

Yes. Chassis Dyno was used. So these reflect the power at the wheels.

What was the dyno on stock and the Ford tune?
Livernois has information on stock vs high octane performance tune. As for Ford Performance they have information on thier website too. That would be your best option.

It is posted here somewhere. Don't remember where or the exact numbers. I'll try to find the photo I took of the print out when I get a chance. There was not much difference between the Livernois and Ford tunes on the horsepower. I ultimately went with the Ford tune since my transmission behaves better running that one.

Thanks for the reply. I was just curious. The Ford tune works great for me.
