good information, thank you

You will get more bleed over the top of the cutoff line than the halogen bulbs. The good news is that you can adjust these bulbs to mitigate the effect. You want to make sure that the LEDs are pointing horizontally and not vertically to get the best results. All-in-all the light leakage is very minimal with this bulb when paired with the ranger reflector.

You can see in my second picture that the driver side low beam bulb still needs a bit of adjustment. It's hard to see on the low beams how far off you are from horizontal because of the cap in front of the bulb.

Both the high beams and fogs were aligned perfectly right out of the box and don't really present an issue. In the first photo you can see that the fogs have a nice and tight beam pattern.

Just got the JDM Astar M1 bulbs for my low beams and fogs. Disappointed in that they are NOT adjustable as JDM's facebook post says and the pictures appear to show. I have a request into JDM on this. The box says they are 8000 lumens, JDM doesn't seem to like to post this info in any of it's liturature for some reason. Still waiting on the high beams, Amazon shipping is a bit slow yet.

New Bulb.jpg

No problems with install the longest time was to drop the skid plate to get at the fogs. (15mm socket loosen two bolts and remove two bolts. @deeve must just have a mean truck, my hands are are not tiny by any means and I got no cuts or scratches. Fogs clock in perfect low beams more like 2 and 8 and 10 and 4 one side each way. Will need to wait till dark to see how the cutoff looks. May need to send them back and look for something else depending on what JDM comes back with and how the cutoff looks. Stay tuned

Dust covers fit fine only issue was needed to unplug the passenger side bulb to get the OEM bulb out. connector hits the opening in housing when you rotate it. Same with new bulb install.

I’ve read most of this thread and ended up buying the CarRover H11 for the Low Beams, and Foglights, and the CarRover 9005 lights for my High Beams. I got them all put in, and they are a lot better than the halogens in my XLT. But in my experience the dust cover is pressing on the fan assembly to a point, I’d say it doesn’t fit properly. The High Beams are more centered in the dust cover area and fit fine. Now I’m curious if the other style light would work better. I didn’t max out the LM, due to comments made about other drivers getting irritated, and LEO issues.
These installed with the cover on the out side about half in, and not latched, with the rest of the dust cover latching in place.

These may work better, as the heat sink fan assembly looks smaller.

Updated post #378 Still running these bulbs, if the issue develops I'll report back.

Installed Auxito low beams and fogs.

Low beams:

Update:5/26/20 - Every now and then I notice a flicker out of the low beams. Never notice when driving but when in a garage and parked. Has happened at least twice that I've noticed, the first time I thought I just blinked my eyes since it happens so fast.

I haven't driven at night enough lately to notice the blink with the latest set of bulbs I have. Definately makes you wonder if you're losing your mind when you see it. If I recall, it's a Ford thing. BCM checking to see the status of the bulb. Or something like that.

The new JDM high beams arrived today and got them installed. Install went well except getting the passenger side cover back on was a pain, literally! That washer fluid tank has a sharp lid on it.
The high beams clocked in perfect at 3 and 9 as did the fogs.

Had to adjust the passenger side low beam down and bring the driver side up a little to match the cutoff I had with the OEM halogens. See pictures below. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cutoff considering the way the bulbs are clocked.

I haven't heard anything back yet from JDM on the adjust-ability issue yet but I'm impressed with the way they are. May be a statement on the quality of the reflectors we have. Even though the pictures don't show it well they are much brighter and whiter that the OEM halogens.

(UPDATE) heard back from JDM. The admitted the post that stated the M1 bulbs were adjustable was an error. The person responsible for this post and others is no longer in that position ?. As compensation they gave me a 20% refund on my Amazon account.

I am happy with their performance, much better than halogens. I have no flickering of the DRLs. I would add them to the list for both locations. As I don't do a lot of back/off road driving, so 8000 lumens is plenty for me. Like the color much better than the yellow halogens.

I am using auxito 12k lumen h11s in the low and fogs. Done deal there for me; great cutoff and I've never been flashed.

Tried the 16k auxito in the highs and liked it a lot. It's very focused, but as a result there are two hot spots. On the downside, it's also intense enough to confuse my auto high beams when I encounter a big sign and the Ranger turns off its high beams, thinking it's oncoming traffic.

Also tried the car rover 20k in the highs. These do appear to put out more overall light than the auxito 16k, but it's more floody. There's still plenty of reach, but not as far as the auxito 16k. No hot spots. Doesn't confuse the Ranger. I'm keeping these and returning the 16k. Will prob add a 20" light bar to get some reach back when no one is around.

Im using 2019 - 2020 Ford Ranger Reflector Low Beam Headlight GTR Lighting CSP Mini LED Headlight Bulbs from Headlight Revolution and they work great! super bright and nice beam pattern. I did have to clock them when I was installing them to have that nice line/cut off like factory. But a definite thumbs up!
For my fogs, Im using the Diode Dynamics
Luxeon LED Fog Lamps. Its complete housing replacement. but 4 screws each side and you are done. I wish they where alittle brighter but the beam pattern is nice.

The GTR low beams are the ones I'm leaning towards. They seem like the best, pattern wise, and I don't need or want anything too bright or crazy, just something a little brighter than stock. So it's good to hear, and see, the results.

I got the Auxito minis and they fit great in all locations. So has anyone had any issues with using the big dust/water caps on the headlight housings? In other words, has anyone had bulb cooling issues? They fit back on fine, but I will take them back off if people are having issues with cooling. Thanks.

What do you mean you had to clock them? I just installed the same in mine. I don't want to blind people.
