I know its eventually going to happen but I was hopping it would be farther down the road. Someone kicked up a rock and it hit the rear passenger door yesterday.

Have any of you had a scratch repair at the dealer?
How good of a job did they do and what was the cost?

You could try fixing yourself.

Apart from truly crappy music (imo), this was an interesting video.

Looks pretty scary to actually do! But the results are undeniable.

I won't be doing this anytime soon . . .

That only works if your touch up is a perfect match. But probably easier with a colour like black.

A dealer is the last place I'd go for paint and body work. Besides, they probably just send it to a local body shop anyways.
Mine came with a super minor scratch on the passenger door. The dealer said they have a scratch and dent guy that comes once a week. I haven't had it fixed yet, but they gave me a repair order, so it's on them.....just difficult to get there on Tuesdays when the dude is there.

Probably a similar process at most dealers. I bought a used car from a different dealer a few years ago, and they did the same thing.

But I agree....I wouldn't go to the dealer unless the scratch was from shipping...which mine was.

I have two like that on the roof...also from rocks...it's down to bare aluminum but not dented so I left them as battle scars...

Just a small chip but I had great success with Dr.Colorchip.
Color match is perfect, easy to use and you can gradually build it up if you need to.

Whats up everybody.
Thanks for the tips and info. I decided to give Dr. colorchip a try. After watching videos and reviews of this product seems to work fairly well along with ease of use. Ordered the $65.00 kit because I figure this wont be the last time.

I'll do an after pic since you all have seen the before.

Looks good @tgRanger
