Whats up everybody.
Thanks for the tips and info. I decided to give Dr. colorchip a try. After watching videos and reviews of this product seems to work fairly well along with ease of use. Ordered the $65.00 kit because I figure this wont be the last time.

I'll do an after pic since you all have seen the before.

Looks good @tgRanger
Good deal. I think you’ll be happy with the results. I purchased the smaller kit and have so much left over, yours should last a long time. Just remember to give both bottles a shake ever so often.

I scratched up the corner of my bumper, the gray part from parking in the garage. Theres a water heater stand and sometimes I bump it. I decided not to touch it up because I occasionally keep hitting it.

Here's an update. I've done around 3 coats and still fill a little bit of a ridge. Going to put on another coat tomorrow. It was pretty deep down to the panel.

What do you all think about a rubbing compound to help blend it in?

Best is to wet sand with like 5000 grit and then refill till you get fairly smooth. Then buff out with a light cutter then swirl scratch remover. It should disappear.

Best to sell it to me cheap and get a new one.
You will NEVER be able to un-see that defect and it will drive you insane.

Take a wife who hits the garage door opener half a block away and a truck that barely fits in the garage, and the result is........

I agree with the unseen part since I know the location. Went ahead and put another coat on today and looks better, lot less of ridge to catch the light in weird way. I'll post an updated pic later on

my newest off road pin stripe scratch. tried to lightly polish it out yesterday and it barely made a difference. :frown: i heard every inch of the damage - it hurt. but i was committed and had to keep going in order to get out of the spot. the other is some gravel and sand rash i assume. idk paint seems to come off easily. sad thing is that long scrape is on the same side i just had repainted from the wet road accident.

I was backing into the garage one day. Wife coming home still a ways down the street. She hits the remote and closes the door on the back of my black Chrysler 200S. I was out there beating on the garage door until 9 pm trying to straighten it.

Exactly my issue, except the door just grazed the tailgate, when it hit the hitch it reversed.

Dented my trunk lid. Then reversed. Not a happy camper by any means. But of course a simple error. Trust me she never touched remote again without eyes on the door.??
