I did order the Icon bump stops but they are on back order for 8-10 weeks, I think I’ll cancel and buy the raptor bumps.

Hey wilsoN_ I am unable to get this link to work, whats that 2nd gen Raptor bump stop number? I could use a couple of those, thanks!
I’m not sure why it won’t let me link it, anyway here’s a screenshot of it. You will have to trim the tab on the back that located in the raptor frame to keep it from “spinning” I used the factory bolt.

Are you talking about these tabs in the picture below?

Are these bump stops required when installing the global springs?

No I dont think so, for a application like mine where I lowered the back 1.5" yes, not sure about a regular height truck, maybe to increase travel, but the shock travel would limit it if the bump stop was too short.
So you would not need a shorter bump stop with springs that would raise the back.

The spring packs are a far amount thicker and they don’t ride much higher than FX4 springs. I would think you’d be hitting the bump stops constantly with these. My factory bump stops were constantly contacting the FX4 springs even without a load or off-roading. There is a reason the Tremor bump stops are shorter and those leaf packs are about half an inch thinner with similar ride height. I tested today and the bump stop will contact the leaf while I still have around 1” of shock travel left with the raptor bump stops using Fox 2.5” shocks, I’m not even sure if the FX4 shocks will be long enough to allow these to go full droop as my Fox are the 1.5” extended ones.

Also I would think that you would be severely limiting ride quality unloaded having limited compression left in the rear suspension before being on the bump stops, the bump stops take a few min to change and are $50, why would you switch them?

Install of the global leaf pack went pretty quickly. I did utilize the factory spacer on the drivers side and I installed the "+" spring on the drivers side as well.
Here are the post-install measurements after a short drive around town to settle things in.
global-rear spring height.jpg

I gained .875" on the drivers side and a full 1" on the passenger side.
I am going to order a longer center bolt and install another spacer below the drivers bottom overload spring to see if I can level it out more.

I can tell you there IS a difference in the ride quality of these springs. They are worth every penny for sure.

I did not know the Tremor stops are shorter, (especially mine as I have trimmed them shorter) makes sense as well as what you stated, my situation is so different as I have lowered the back, I need the shortest stops I can get, I have ordered the Raptor ones.

Here is a shot showing the distance of the factory bump stops with the global leaf pack.

And it has a little rake to its stance again.

Thanks wilsoN_ for measuring the compression with the raptor bumps. It’s also good to note that your shocks are not fully compressed, having one inch of travel left, that will help prolong the life. I agree, factory bumps will hinder ride quality with the larger leaf pack.

Alright. Got mine on today in conjuction with the Fox 2.0 Stage 1 kit.

I cannot speak to the change with FX-4 shocks, as I never tried it. I can say that the factory FX shocks are garbage. My takeoffs had 12k miles and I could compress them like an accordian.

Drive back from my brother-in-laws is about 50 miles. Had a good mix of road surfaces to check the ride out. Overall the ride on my truck is slightly stiffer, much better controlled, and the float is gone.

The global springs definitely have some lift over stock. We did the front coils first, test drove, then did the rear. The global springs restored some of the rake removed by the Fox coilovers.

Overall, I'm very happy. Will be grabbing some of those Raptor bump stops.

My seat of the pants agrees.

Went to work last night for the first time since installing. Was looking forward to this drive as I know it well and it would be a true test.

One dip in particular, best described as undulating wave. On stock suspension this spot highlighted the porpoising of the FX-4 suspension and I wouldn't traverse it at more than 35 mph. I hit it at a good clip this morning, 45 maybe, I was confident that I knew what to expect having driven the new suspension a bit.

The Fox/global combo performed great, both compression and rebound. Everything was much better controlled. This section will unload, load, unload, load, the suspension. On the last loading of the rears I got into the factory FX-4 bumpstops. Not pleasant. Raptor bumpstops on order.

Anybody know how much shorter they are than the non Tremor ones?

I do not know the height differences , but if you order the Raptor ones from Tasca parts, they do not have them in stock, they have the best price, but you have to wait.

This is the update I got;

Thank you for shopping with us! One or more items from your recent order (Order 1669942) has required special ordering but should be ready to ship to you soon.
