airline tech, I was in the middle of typing exactly that as you responded. I found in search results from other Ford forums that the IPC is one of the tricker modules to support.

I agree with you that I don't recommend this cable for Forscan.. With a little bit of trial and error, I was able to gimp by and get nearly all of the important features that I wanted such as disable hyperblink, auto stop, and panic 2x. Those were my major grievances. I'll get another cable at some point, but now it's a lower priority.

I appreciate your wealth of knowledge on the topic. Looks like it's my purpose in life to serve as an example to others. ?

Anyone know what The Lincoln experience option in forescan for the Ranger is? Also what are the appropriate selections i need to make for my LED day time running lights, my Lariat was built in 22 when the LED lights were deleted due to shortages and i just got a set finally installed.

no idea what the Lincoin exp is.
If you want to turn on your running lights all the time:

Daytime Running Lights Includes ParklampsEnables parking lights when DRLs are on (useful for raptor style lights in grille)BdyCM (BCM)

So right now they are on when my lights are on and when the lights are in auto and off they are off, i really only know how to do the non as built stuff with forescan like you posted, i did go in and add DRL to my vehicle settings screen that i can turn on and off in the lighting category but then they stay on even when the vehicle is off.

Mine is a 2019, so I used forescan to turn on my running lights, which turn on when in Drive. Maybe others with your same year can help

OK, bear with me on this, I'm a little confused by what you are trying to do.

First of all I'm assuming we are talking about the LED bars in the headlights. They actually have a dual function. They are DRLs when they are on bright. They are parking lights when they are on dim (still pretty bright but dimmer than when they are on as DRLs). They be on dim when ever the headlights are on (acting as parking lights along with taillights). The only time they will be on bright (acting as DRLs) is when the switch is in AUTO and it is light out, and the truck is not in PARK. If the switch is NOT in AUTO they will not light up bright (as DRLs) any time.

I am still confused about your last comment about them staying on with the vehicle off by using the toggle in the IPC menu. Unless you are talking about the parking lights staying on for a length of time when shutting off or opening the door.

If you are wanting to have them on all the time the vehicle is on the switch must be in AUTO, then they will be on when ever the truck is not in PARK or the headlights or parking lights are on.

Are the bulbs replaceable in those lit eye browse? I se a lot of autos around here with only one lit up.

If not, that is a pretty expensive issue when the lights go out. 24/7 vs just a night driving means they fail far far faster.

No the Factory LED assemblies only have (1ea) replaceable bulb and that is the Turn Signal, this is the direction most auto's are going now, IDK why they insist on making them embedded,

Most likely because of the custom shape, size and design used for every model vehicle. This only became possible because of the small size and longer life of LEDs.

Is there an option to make the mirrors auto fold in when turning the truck off?

Because they know the plastic lens will be cracking and hazing so bad by then that you just about need to replace the whole assembly anyway. Engineered to fail is a real thing.

No. There are aftermarket modules you can buy that will do that IIRC but no built-in options that can be enabled even with FORscan.

Not with the OEM setup. There are two companies in Australia that make an aftermarket module you can install to do it. They also make modules that let you control the windows with the remote. One is Trac Electronics and the other is Redtec. They both make modules specifically for the Ranger. There are other generic modules that may also work.
