Your USB communication settings? No you won't loose those. If I delete the trucks profile will I loose the setting I already programmed in forscan?
Click on the Profiles tab in Forscan, click on the profile for your truck. Then click on the trashcan at the bottom left of the screen.Ok thanks and my truck does not have a key. I’m not really up on forscan so a bit hesitant on doing stuff I’m not aware of. I did the usual stuff.
now that I’m thinking about it, I used a different labtop before and since then it decided to die. So I have a new one now, anything else I should be aware of?
another dumb question how do you delete the profile?
It doesn't have to be connected to the truck to delete the profile. But to make a new one, it does need to be connected.Do this profile delete with the truck hooked up to the forscan program?
You have to connect to the truck via the OBDII cable and Forscan will automatically suggest a new profile which you accept.Bob this is a new download from a new lab top so there is no profiles.
It looks like you will need to get that number off of your Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in the truck. It will take a lot of removing other components to get to it, though. Contacting your tuner to get the tuner strategy name would be easier.I still get the same message.![]()
I have one of Torries tunes in my truck and have no trouble connecting With forscan. But like the other guy said. Flash it back stock or look at your file and get the strategy code and put it in. Make your changes and reflash tune. It's really that simple.I’ll email Torrie to see if he can help me. Thanks Bob
