I don't use android auto, mostly because i'd rather not have to attach my usb cord to my phone everytime I drive the truck. Sounds pathetic, but the few times I need to send an auto reply, I'd rather do it through sync. So can it be programmed or not? thanks.

No, the nanny state wins. Plus you don't need to use Android Auto to do what I said above. Your phone can do it no problem without any physical connection to the truck. (as long as it's newer than 7 years)

I think that one is only changed by a hex code edit of 720-01-02. At least that is how I had to disable it. Besure to backup the module and/or take screen shots of the code and give it a try, its just as easy.

Some other codes showed full 4 hex digits to represent (say) other small values like 01, so it was ambiguous...

Does anyone know how to disable parking and brake lights when the vehicle is unlocked?
Dark Mode is activated (along with Silent Mode Menu), but they still turn on.

I read through all the pages, but didn't explicitly see this...

Some other codes showed full 4 hex digits to represent (say) other small values like 01, so it was ambiguous...

If you go into the ad-builts you will see the codes vary in length. Always in groups of 2 and the last pair is always a checksum.

- Fuel pump prime when door opened = Disabled. Pump still primes.
- Mirrors down on reverse. This is expected...people surmised there's a missing module, so I tried it just in case.

1. Yes, several of the settings don't work on our Rangers. Some of the memu features cross over to the F150s.

Our Rangers don't have door modules so things like mirror tilt and auto windows on lock don't work. I quess I'm not sure about the pump priming or why you would want to disable it.

2. Dumb question did you go into the menu and turn silent mode on?

Is there a separate Silent Mode On setting?

I quess I'm not sure about the pump priming or why you would want to disable it.

I spend a fair bit of time working on the vehicle, or camping out, opening and closing doors frequently. Priming on key insertion is better for my needs.
If it primes needlessly dozens of times, it might waste fuel (<-- total conjecture, not sure) but at the least, wastes battery power.

You go into you menus on your dash display using the left steering wheel switches. If I remember right it is under the settings menu. I'll check when I get in my truck tomorrow.

Also, I see something odd but good: Traffic Sign Recognition and Auto Start/Stop switching, directly in the Sync 3 menu!

My 2021 didn't have these menus until i wrote settings in FORScan:

including Police Dark Car Mode in ACM (different from Dark Car mode in BCM). Suddenly a large amount of new Settings menus show up on Sync 3. This includes traffic sign recognition, etc.

There are 3 Sync screens full of settings, instead of 2 screens of settings.

There are many greyed out options, due to unsupported features.

Has anyone seen this before?

It seems promising, and I'll test them out in any case.
