Ford Perimeter Plus Alarm system

I installed the Perimeter Plus Alarm on my 2021 XLT and as long as you have remote lock and unlock, the module will give you remote start with a lock-unlock-lock button sequience. No programing required. I have the sensativity all the way up and occasionally my neighbors Harley will set it off but that's OK with me.

I would hope so if the remote lock feature is there - but I don't know if the switch in the tailgate handle has a connection to monitor? But then someone could simply test this for us?

I already have the perimeter plus system. I just want to add the tailgate to the system so it sets the alarm off if opened

No, the tailgate handle does not have the door ajar circuit, it only incorporates remote lock / unlock.
The Door Ajar circuit is the trigger for the alarm.
The Permitter (PLUS) only adds motion sensor to the factory Perimeter Alarm (If installed) on your trim package.

Perimeter alarm and perimeter plus are 2 different animals. The plus gives you the shock sensor with sensitivity adjustment and has added remote start capability if it isn’t stock on your vehicle ( there is a jumper to add the remote start with your factory remote)

Well my 2022 Ranger did not have the module as the video shows. At least not with the shock sensor

Mine neither and it’s easy to locate if it were there at all. No need for FORScan, just look behind the OBD port itself, there would be a splitter cable at the back of the port if it was there.

Mine was 2020 XLT Fx4 and it didn't come with the module. Had to purchase it separate.

Hi everyone, it's my first post here and this forum is a gold mine for me...
My Ranger is sold as 2020 new but i think it's a late 2019 production, i just bought it used, i have an alarm on it (perimeter alarm ? ) but i don't have the remote start. Ford says it's not equipped with one from the factory...
My question is : what module might i have for having this alarm ? If i buy the Perimeter Plus will i need to use Forscan to activate it ?
I don't have my truck near me for 2 weeks to check if i have the module already installed like in the video above..

This is what I got from Levitown Ford bought it later on and I didn't need forscan to activate it. It was an easy install. There is a thread here that I think other folks had to do something on forscan.
