My cousin has an XLT that he's noticed its alarm is a bit 'risk averse' or overly sensitive. He often has to go out and silence the alarm going off in the parking lot where he works. Is there a way to adjust the alarm sensitivity? Maybe with FORScan?

Thank you in advance ?

Hmm haven't heard of this or any solution. I'd say take it in to dealer, could be a faulty sensor or wiring

mine seems the opposite. friend revs up his hog next to my truck and the alarm is just ZZZZZZZZZ ?. i opened the driver door by using the inside handle after the truck locked it self one time. alarm finally came to life . if the sensitivity is adjustable that would be great! mine needs some tuning too.

Is that the stock system or an add on?

Both my cousin's Ranger and now his coworker who has the same Ranger are both saying their stock truck alarms go off in a parking lot full of other vehicles, much more often than the rest of the parking lot. Is anyone else experiencing this? (I don't think my Ranger's alarm has ever gone off, I'm going to give it good rocking to see if it is paying attention at all). :D

Mine's an XL. It's gone off a few times for no reason, it was very hot at the time so I wondered if it just got fried and confused.

Good Call Toytec, I'll neuter his FOB with FORScan - The stupid "Panic" button pocket push is less than useful. This might be the root cause.
Thank you
*I'll report back either way (cured or still a problem).

Just set the fob for a 'double press' to activate, mine has never gone off since I did that.
