So, as I am taking a road trip to Iowa in May I wanted the alarm upgraded, so with some advice from @Scottlane1171 I installed the perimeter plus from Ford. I thought there would be some setup involved but no, just install the OBD11 adapter, drill a hole for the LED, slide the box into the kick panel, and done. I didn't have to do any forscan mod's or key sequence to get remote start to work or activate the alarm, it all worked right off. Can't get much easier than that. Now to figure out which way to turn the sensitivity knob to increase the sensitivity.
