Ford makes them as aftermarket for other vehicles like the Mustang but frankly I don't think the corporate level accountants can justify any profit from manufacturing/marketing any number of these. They would have to admit (or invent) a benefit that could actually hurt the reputation of the Ranger or Ecoboost engine lineup (since they started to omit the badging on current builds.)

I read somewhere that ford has one in the works but due to supply and covid issues the release has been pushed back. I can't find the article, but if I do I'll post it.
