I got the weather tech one. It fits perfect, and haven't heard any noise, but haven't been over 75 with it yet. Just in case you end up looking for a replacement.

Not similar at all.... totally different designs and totally different visual appearance.

The WeatherTech is a "fits like a glove" hood protector. It doesn't really change the look of the truck at all. See how it lays flat on the hood.

Now compare that to the AVS below. The AVS is a deflector meant to send bugs and debris up over the truck. It is up off the hood and has a smooth profile that changes the look of the truck and visually blocks the hood bulges on the nose of the truck.

Installed the AVS today and it turned out great. All together, took maybe 10 minutes to install. Went for a test drive at about 75 mph and no whistling or loud wind noises. Seems like a wonderful product.

The part number is 25954. Bugflector II for $58.50 at autoanything.com. As some people mentioned in here, I too covered the engine with a blanket incase any parts fell and bought a door panel removal tool from an auto parts store for 9 dollars. Super easy install and solid as a rock. Well worth the money and now at 20 percent off

Those of you with the AVS Bugflector II any decrease in wind noise from the front windows on the highway? looking a hood deflector and window vents to help decrease the noise i'm hearing a bit. i'm not even sure if it will effect wind noise any.

My hearing aids are a bit more sensitive to wind noise so its all amplified to me. i don't know what normal hearing is like as I've worn them for 35 years; Concrete interstate at speed is the worst.

I think my truck sounds the exact same with the bug deflector as it did without. As far as I can tell, it does not cut down any wind noises.

Just ordered mine.

Was the last thing I needed to complete the outside accessories.

My Ford deflector is whistling like a banshee. Not sure what is going on with it. I had the cones on the deflector and after reading this I moved them to the hood, no improvement. I took the outside ones off as they weren't touching, no improvement and finally took the inboard cones off. Again, no improvement. Not sure what to do other than try another brand. Very frustrating.
