  1. Painting interior trim

Thanks for the information! I will definitely post pictures if I decide to go this route.
  2. Painting interior trim

I have seen that a few people on here have wrapped their trim pieces with vinyl but has anyone sanded them down and painted them yet? I have heard that on the black widow f150s they sand everything down and paint it a glossy black. I was thinking about doing that and then possibly painting the...
  3. Ford oem bug deflector

Perfect! I'm sure you will love it
  4. Ford oem bug deflector

I think my truck sounds the exact same with the bug deflector as it did without. As far as I can tell, it does not cut down any wind noises.
  5. Ford oem bug deflector

https://www.autoanything.com/deflectors/avs-bug-deflectors The part number is 25954. Bugflector II for $58.50 at autoanything.com. As some people mentioned in here, I too covered the engine with a blanket incase any parts fell and bought a door panel removal tool from an auto parts store for 9...
  6. Ford oem bug deflector

Installed the AVS today and it turned out great. All together, took maybe 10 minutes to install. Went for a test drive at about 75 mph and no whistling or loud wind noises. Seems like a wonderful product.
  7. Ford oem bug deflector

Thanks for showing me another option. Looks very good!
  8. Ford oem bug deflector

I completely agree with you. They don't follow the directions and then get defensive when it is mentioned that it is installed incorrectly. If only the dealership could just own up to their mistakes and correct them so they don't happen again.
  9. Ford oem bug deflector

The AVS bug deflectors are 30 percent off at autoanything.com so I just picked one up! Thanks. Going with the AVS bugflector ii
  10. Ford oem bug deflector

Update on the bug deflector. Ford was unable to fix it and told me a new one wouldn't help. They did agree to give me 42,000 ford points because of all of the trouble (hopefully I actually get them) The bug deflector is currently sitting in the garbage at the local ford dealership. They told...
  11. Check Engine Light - 5600 miles - Code: P02EE

I have been running 89 as well. I'm having a hard time finding forums on what fuel most people are using. Do you plan on sticking with 89? Could this potentially harm the engine since it is tuned to 87? If anyone knows the answers please feel free to let me know. I keep going back and forth...
  12. Ford oem bug deflector

Thanks alot. Mine were definitely installed wrong by the dealership.
  13. Ford oem bug deflector

Would you happen to have a picture of yours so I can show them what it is supposed to look like?
  14. Ford oem bug deflector

That could be it! Thanks and I will mention this to Ford. I told them earlier today I thought it might be installed wrong but they said they have installed thousands of them... apparently thousands the wrong way. Thanks for catching that!
  15. Ford oem bug deflector

Ford used clips to install it and there are black, rubber cones on the back of the deflector that are barely touching my hood. They are hopefully going to replace it this week so fingers crossed on the new one. Glad to hear none of you are having problems!!
  16. Biggest tires, no lift?

I went with the 265/70 17 BFG KO2 and they fit great on my stock XLT 4x4. Very happy I made the change to a bigger tire
  17. Ford oem bug deflector

Haha sure seems like it! Took it on a 4 hour trip with friends this weekend and I'm pretty none of them will be riding in my truck until it is fixed. Not even the radio could drown out the noise. Saves miles not taking my truck next road trip!!
  18. Ford oem bug deflector

I am not near my truck to take a photo of my exact setup but I attached a photo of the bug deflector I'm having trouble with. Bending the clips in did not work. Still a high pitch sound but now even at lower speeds. I will have to try the rag idea.
  19. Ford oem bug deflector

I tried bending the clips in a touch which held the bug deflector closer to the hood. Hopefully it helps. I'm going to have Ford look at it this week and hopefully replace it if they can't fix it. Seems like mine is the only one I have heard of that whistles super loud
  20. Ford oem bug deflector

I checked the deflector but did not see any sharp edges. Thanks for the reply
