Well, I hate to rain on a parade but I didn't notice much improvement, if any. Perhaps mine was done at the factory. I also have a hard time accepting that Ford would ship vehicles to customers skipping a step of the ABS module setup, but stranger things have happened.

I did mine this morning and I found a marked improvement in the pedal feel after the process. The pedal now feels like it should have when it was delivered.

I would have done this sooner but the OBD dongle I had been using with ForScan on my Mustangs for the past 6 years didn't read all the modules, the ABS being one of them. I purchased the ForScan recommended OBDLink EX+ which works perfectly.

yeah and at the dealer as they didn't "see" it during the pre-delivery inspection. I spotted it the first time I looked at it. Had to push for them to fix it.

Watch the tradeoff now...since everyones brakes are grabbing like a one armed parachutist to the rip cord, everyone will be burning through pads and rotors every 20000miles.

That doesn't make sense. Burning through brakes at 20k is ridiculous I went 114k miles on my 2012 Focus before I changed my rear brakes. The amount of energy it take to stop is finite. You either push really hard on mushy brakes, or press lightly on properly bled brakes. In the end, it takes the same amount of energy to stop. Properly bled brakes are much more responsive.

Just completed the process. I only did a couple of back and forth in the driveway just to make sure it was good to drive to work tomorrow. It did feel less mushy.
There are a few missing steps in the OP for people who have never used FORScan. Like you need to be connected to the internet the first time you connect the adaptor to your PC, and before you go and connect it to the truck so the drivers can download. Also when selecting the procedure, you need to click RUN. I kept double clicking the procedure and nothing happened.
After the procedure, I got a lot of error warnings flashing on the dashboard, so ran the ABS module reset, followed the prompts and they all went away.
FORScan is a well-thought out app.

Well what is the point? How can properly bled brakes cause increased brake wear?

After each step of this procedure, FORScan prompts to close the bleeder valves. Why did it not prompt to open them, and why does this procedure work without opening the bleeder valves?

The drive in to work today proved that this was a much needed procedure. The brakes feel soooooo much better! It is much easier to govern the ASS now as well with the improved pedal feel.

Apologies. I assumed most attempting this task would have some experience using forscan along with Trevor's video which goes through it pretty thoroughly. There's an entire thread on Forscan on our site plus a dedicated vbb at forscan.org.

I am use to the brakes so to speak so I just live with it but this has put me over the edge as I have been wanting to jump into the Forscan world since I bought my truck.

My adapter will be here in a few days. I have familiarized myself with the software but will need to get my registration when I get my hardware.

This is awesome, I just did the procedure and it fixed my squishy brakes. I have actually had the truck creep at stop lights and need to apply more brake pressure after being stopped for a while. Now the pedal feels much firmer. Thanks!

Great information! If I switch to one of the two other rigs in our fleet, a 2016 F150 and an upgraded '73 Bronco with full disc conversion, I will over brake due to the significant delta in effort required in the Ranger v the other two... NOW to get my service writer to get this done for me.
