  4. SPD Performance Downpipe

I checked with Livernois before getting my spd dp and they confirmed based on cell count and flow their tune parameters account for the additional flow from the high flow catted SPD DP. I've had my DP for over 5k miles without any issues or CEL. i would not run a highflow or catless dp without...
  5. FIX YOUR MUSHY BRAKES

Apologies. I assumed most attempting this task would have some experience using forscan along with Trevor's video which goes through it pretty thoroughly. There's an entire thread on Forscan on our site plus a dedicated vbb at forscan.org.
  6. FIX YOUR MUSHY BRAKES

most forscan functions are blocked behind a license wall. you can request a 2 month evaluation or temp license to open all features but after 2 months it expires and those features are locked again. over the years i've requested about 3-4 eval licenses without issue however.
  7. FIX YOUR MUSHY BRAKES

Older ABS systems you could manually bleed. I’m not sure if newer style can self bleed or still require to be bled manually. so far I’ve put 200 miles on my truck and my firm pedal is still there. much nicer at stop lights where i used to catch myself creeping forward.
  8. Alpha Rex headlights

that's expected considering the wall's relation to the truck. if you were facing a wall at 25' you wouldn't see that. you're lights are fine. one tip is when aiming at 25'. measure the distance from the ground to the top of the bulb (not housing). take that number and subtract 2" and that's...
  9. FIX YOUR MUSHY BRAKES

I hear ya. I got used to the soft pedal before, but it never inspired confidence. I still have plenty of ability to modulate after doing the above Forscan service. In the video, Trevor explained that the ABS priming process is to be done any time brake work is performed. In his other...
  10. P0630 Help

I believe this has to do with the LMS tuner doing the tire size change. Forscan didn't like something and between the tuner, forscan, and my truck it wasn't happy. I ended up restoring the PCM and BdyCM to original as built. I then did a PCM initialize/relearn. After that the CEL cleared and...
  11. FIX YOUR MUSHY BRAKES

Found this on FB and Youtube. Credit Trevor Farid on 2019+ Ford Ranger Owners and Youtube Xerowerx I went through this as my '20 was always soft and sure enough the pedal is much improved. In Forscan, choose this icon: Then select ABS Service Bleed When prompted for what you did, just...
  12. P0630 Help

I’m not following. I’ve searched the entire site for that code and no results found. So if you have a specific link to more information please post it. Thanks
  13. P0630 Help

I did. Nothing came up besides a LMS query about tire size Changes via Forscan.
  14. P0630 Help

Code: P0630 - VIN Not Programmed or Incompatible Ran into this after running a Forscan ABS test. Now it won't clear. Strangely in the PCM and BdyCM entries the VIN is there and correct. I'm stumped on what happened.
  15. I finally cut open the OEM muffler!

I knocked out that piece long ago. Heard it slide around the next day and then nothing since.
  16. My Dash Cam Installation

I did not. Not sure why yours isn’t clearing. Do you have a pic you can take?
  17. Leather interior parts coming apart in xlt

Thanks for this thread. My XLT armrest has zero padding and I'm hoping the Lariat upgrade improves it maybe a bit. Plus it'll match the Leather steering wheel.
  18. Tacoma is not so reliable as folks think

because it’s a different generation of vehicle with completely different manufacturing standards and technology. anyone buying a vehicle based on their experience with a manufacturer 20 years ago will be disappointed. Toyota or anyone else.
  19. Tacoma is not so reliable as folks think

HenryMac you’re comparing something built 20 years ago to now. there are just as many examples of Rangers of that age being just as reliable if not more so than your example. I’m comparing a current gen Tacoma to current gen Ranger. too many Toyota fanboys bring up their 20 year old truck...
