An Overlanding buddy had a set on his 4 Runner, that in just one adventure, admittedly, in real off road terrain, (not just a dirt road thing) the sidewalls were no longer safe. This wasn't rock crawling or nasty tire killing terrain, just off road adventure seeking on the upper family level...
SO, what we have here is a 10 page delivery on a new Ranger... ONLY on this forum... AND my '22 Squashed Badlands, which is blue too, is due next week... (a 2020 order now two years old almost to the day.) Yes, keeping my '21 Overlanded Ranger Tremor too! Allot of twos going on in this order too!
Precisely why I did mine! Would drive the Bride's '16 F150 and would almost put us through the windshield! Even worse, my converted to disc '73 Bronco had significantly better peddle response - so had to do this procedure for safety...
I have read here where some have followed the Forscan (a...
Bleeding brakes is the same operation as before FORSCAN; pump brake peddle, hold down peddle, open bleeder valve, at bottom of peddle travel, close valve and repeat.... Helps to use hose and beer bottle to catch discharged brake fluid...
No. However, my experience on this specifically was to do the Mushy Brake fix w/FORSCAN and then go directly to a full (normal) bleed of the system which has resulted in a much higher brake peddle and normal feeling brakes/braking. I did do just the Mushy Brake fix w/FORSCAN several months ago...
I'm under the hood allot, and prop rods are a cheap out by any manufacturer - hate them. The 6 up switches have their connections and wiring in there, oil changes, emptying the catch can and most of all, plug in the battery tender because Silver gets long rest periods - I only leave my hidden...
As promised, I finally rounded up the correct brake fluid from NAPA, Penstosin DOT 4 LV. German made, this brake fluid meets all the down in the weeds specifications of the much more expensive Motocraft /Ford fluid; FMVSS 116 dot 4, SAE J1704, and ISO 4925 class 6. This is one of few "Super"...
Awesome work!
Maybe this will work...I used this stuff on my Ranger and my wife's 2016 F1150 beds...

Sync 3 doesn't really work in my book. My 21' Ranger has had a gremlin since new... and a new head unit has done nothing to correct the issues. No codes to work with either. Problems: GPS will at random times acts drunk and shows the vehicle in places it can't be, wandering all over the...
Agreed...
Been building my own systems since the 8088 chip and dip switches were the norm. Last build (this year) for the Bride was light years away from that system and far easier since now everything sets itself up through the BIOS... You know the DOS language speaking thing on the...
Was given a saying by one of my Commanding Officer's that I used in my masters work, allot, "People are messy" referring to the baggage all of us have and pack around.
