I took the new Ranger out for our first shakedown drive yesterday. I gotta say, I'm pretty excited about this truck. I found some nice rough country roads with hills and curves to put it through its paces and get the engine running up and down through the rev band. I got on the brakes hard a few times to bed in the rotors and pads, and after that there was none of the weird jerkiness in stopping that I felt when I drove it home from the dealer. I thought the FX4 suspension was superb on really crappy pavement at around 50 mph. It just ate up the bumps. Much smoother than my recently departed Jeep Wrangler, and still not at all wallowy like some reviews I read described it. And, most important of all, my sweetie loves the new truck. She loves the Cyber Orange (which to be honest, I'm still getting accustomed to). She was really excited about the power adjustable seats, and if it hadn't been 80 degrees warm out, she would have turned on the heated seat. We both agreed this is the must luxurious vehicle we've owned. So comfortable on the freeway too, and I got to try out the adaptive cruise control which surprised me at how useful that feature is. Hopefully, we'll be trying out the 4wd soon.

That's one great looking truck! The color knocks me out. It's got Cali written all over it. You also got the perfect cab size. :)

Congrats and enjoy.

Our local dealer got a cyber orange supercab over the weekend. I haven't stopped to look at it, but is sure looks good from the road.

That's a nice color but I'd be afraid of it showing every spec of dirt. I had a '93 splash that was an orange/red color an it stood out.

First off Congrats on your new Ranger! :like: They are very comfortable and it still surprises me how quick and fast this little 2.3 is.

Now darn you...Looking at your Ranger I'm now second guessing the color for my Bronco. When I saw the first video it had the CO Bronco going through the desert and I loved it. Not being able to see one in person I decided on OJ White but I might have to change it again. Lucky I have a '22 and will be able to see some real world ones by then.
Oh nooooo, new color choice, new trim level......better check with the significant other. :)

However, I'm in the same book. Every time I think I've got it, I don't. Today was, do I want the Shadow Black top, or the body colored top. Dang it........

Depends on which kind of dirt bothers you more. White looks like crap after you drive it in the rain and so most dark colors. Lighter colors don't show the dust like darker or especially black trucks do 30 mins after you wash it.

Love the color! I had a TS Focus ST and received so many compliments on the color. I am sure you will as well with your truck! Best of luck with it!

Much nicer than that Cacus Gray color! That one looks like shiny green/gray primer! haha!

Let's hope you never get to test that theory. But if you do, remember a nice shallow, high speed approach and you'll skim right across the water... for a distance... said distance yet to be determined.

Pictures appreciated, A video may make you famous.. or infamous. :D

Bret, My dealers is going to hate me before this is all done. lol I've changed my build 3 times already and now the order banks are open through March 19th. I'm thinking I should just wait until the 18th to order mine. ?
You are the reason that you can order the "Special Paint Scheme - 9999, color code 999A. which is basically just all bare metal...

With my luck I'd be afraid this will happen.

Remember that King of the Hill cartoon where we were all standing around drinking beer and talking about 'short legs' (another thread a while back)? I'd be more worried about them guys relieving beer pressure than a dog chancing by

I like that it doesn’t have a red fx4 as that would like terrible against the orange
