PDR is more difficult on aluminum. IF you can find a guy that can do that one it's likely to cost near $1k.

If so I hope hoods aren’t one of those parts on indefinite back order lol. I mean I can still drive it just fine for now.I bet it will be cheaper to replace than repair. Not much labor involved in replacing.
My guess?Damn. How much is a new hood? If I have to use my insurance & pay the deductible so be it. I’m hoping to get lucky for once lol.
Painless dent repair...this is easy fix but may cost a lot...Was driving home from grocery store and a tree branch fell & hit me , real bad wind in SE Michigan today. Think they can fix that or am I going to need a new hood ? 2021 Ranger Lariat with tremor package.
I live out in the rural area so down the dirt roads big trees line the roads. Branches fall all the time. Just bad timing for me this time lol

No dentless repair will get that crease in the metal out. It can be body worked back into shape but a new hood is going to be cheaper. A new OEM hood is about $600.Dentless repair is the way to go on this one. Take your time to locate someone that has real talent. That is on a crease so it will look off if not done right.
Man everything is so expensive now a days. I’m curious to see what the shops I’m going to swing by Monday say , fox or repair. Either way sounds like I’ll be using my insurance. Been paying 23 years to this company now i finally get to use it lol, unfortunatelyMy guess?
The panel, being aluminum, $700. Paint and labor? Double that again.
I'd say around $1k for PDR, or $2k for replace and paint.
I’ll watch his videos after dinner. Thank you.Painless dent repair...this is easy fix but may cost a lot...
You won't believe what this guy can do...

More than anything I want it made right & that was my thought being in the crease. Never thought about after market upgrade. if I did that I presume I have to take the cash payout from insurance then take care of getting a aftermarket hood on my endNo dentless repair will get that crease in the metal out. If you had been thinking about and after market hood this would be the time.
Yes....I would try this first as well. You may be surprised what they can do!Paintless dent repair will do. Nothing major in there.
Talk to the body shop, a lot of them will install the after market hood as long as you provide the cost difference up front.More than anything I want it made right & that was my thought being in the crease.
