Turned a 100,000 miles yesterday.
No real issues other than that wiring glitch soon after I bought the truck.
I need to replace that stupid DPFE sensor.
If I keep it I’ve got the 100 k maintenance to do.

I honestly want to stay in a mid size truck. But, Chevy has zero percent for 5 years on full sizers right now.

Your transmission is original? You're in WV so you drive a lot in the mountains?

I know you didn't ask but whatever you do, don't get suckered into paying Additional Dealer Markup. And even with Zero APR watch that purchase price and the loan period. No more than 60 months. Don't sign based on monthly payments alone. That's how most people get screwed. Remember, the buyer is in control, not the dealer.

Yep, original transmission
Lot of hills, and some mountain driving for sure.
Guess I've been super lucky

As far as the new truck, I had planned to go look at a particular model and talked myself out of for now.
The GM deal is zero percent for 5 years. Mines paid off, and I don't buy based on payments. I have an idea of what mines worth and what I'd take for it.

If I were at 100k, I'd be doing what you're doing if I could still afford it. But at this point in my life, I"d be looking at a near base model truck with a few upgrades. Of course nobody makes that. I love my turbo but.....I loved my V6 and V8's before! GM's 2.7 turbomax...why a 4 banger? Damn you GM! So I guess nothing less than a Tremor 2.7 will do for me. LOL! Or a V8 full size base model 4x4 with towing package, then upgrade with bigger tires, tune, etc.

honestly keep and invest in a good power train warranty. other then the trans and blend door for the HVAC system, this truck is pretty solid for the long haul. Other than typical 4x4 maintenance and fluids

100% @OCL Base model + 4x4 + maybe some interior upgrades like nice double stitch seats and additional USB ports all I need. When (almost all) have the same frame, engine, tranny why pay more.

F150 is supposed to get the Godzilla in 2027 😆. Supposed to be a simple old school engine.
