I think it's gorgeous! You made a great choice. You'll never regret having "honda" efficiency paired with Ford capability. The bed will be plenty for most jobs. How often do you haul sheet rock?

Cheers! Enjoy it in great health and enjoy your retirement.
Adam I still have my Ranger for hauling stuff and my trailer. I just got a new (well back in November) a hard sided tent trailer. It's awesome. Sets up in minutes and tows like a dream.
Thanks,

Let us know how well the hybrid does for you.

We just got my wife a hybrid SUV and so far the MPG is awesome.

Also a quick question: My wife's hybrid almost always does reverse in full electric mode so it's silent. So it has AVAS beeper.

Does the Maverick also have the AVAS beeper when backing up?

It's required for electric cars but I'm not sure about trucks.
Hybrids/EV require audible when in reverse and some do it forward at slow speeds. My wife's KIA sounds like a spaceship.

Well after almost a year of wanting to get the Maverick I pulled the trigger. I still have my Ranger and will for at least 5 more years but wanted a retirement vehicle and the 2026 Maverick Lariat Hybrid AWD was too tempting. So far it's awesome. I did sell my 1999 Taco and paid cash for the Maverick. With gas prices around $5.00/gallon here in Oregon I needed a retirement vehicle I could drive around town and trips to the beach at 35-40 MPG. Gas prices will never appreciably go down so I did it. Now I have Sammy (The Red Rocker as in Sammy Hagar) to go with Lucille my Ranger. Now Lucille has a little brother. What do you all think?

Hi Mark, I haven't seen one in that color. It looks nice and sporty. Glad to hear you are keeping the Ranger too.

Congratulations Mark! I know you've been counting down the days for retirement and the end is now in sight and now you have yourself a nice retirement present. Looking forward to meeting up when you finally get down this way and doing some hiking and exploring the area with you.
How about I pick up @subquark in NH on my way down from ME?

Yep, and Ford chose a noise that sounds like a rock stuck in a brake dust shield.

Backup beeper is equally as annoying on my '25 Powerboost. Pretty sure the Mav's use the same exact thing.

It has a bigger motor than our Rangers 2.5 but not turbo. I have only had it a week so the jury is out for the acceleration. LOL
My wife has a 2022 lariat as well. Great mileage but it’s time to turn off coach mode. Don’t be afraid to floor it. They’re peppier than you think.

The fact you spent essentially nothing by getting out of a redundant ICE truck into it tickles me 😁
