From what I'm seeing, I don't believe Ford leveraged the IMRC (intake manifold runner control) valves in the 2.3 ecoboost intake runners. That likely leaves mechanical noise from the HPFP as the most likely suspect for the noise.

I updated my original thread on this, but here is the Video of the sound of my Wastegate Actuator as the Drivers Door is opened, now it will remain powered for 3-Minutes, then the PCM will go back to sleep and remove power from the actuator.
Yours is squeaky! Mine is louder than that but no squeak.

Dealership didn't help. They requested some assistance from Ford but they haven't gotten back to me yet about anything...I tried to call today and never got a response. I'm keeping on them about it. Still running 93 octane through it and it's getting 20mpg now which is nice, but the ping/rattle is still there. I'm trying to find a part number for a colder plug. I've looked on forums but haven't found anything. Anyone happen to know the next coldest plug down from stock??

I like it... I was trying to find the Motorcraft ones tho because I heard some people had misfire issues with the NGK plugs.
FWIW, the motorcraft plugs used in the 2.0 and 2.3 are rebranded NGK plugs

That's a thought. IF the truck was tuned AND the plugs were changed/regapped as part of the mods by the previous owner (and if Ford can't tell - which they can if they tried by checking the ECM) then I can totally see the possibility of some issues except that you are running higher octane now. I suppose that even if the tune was removed improper spark gap is going to be a problem, stock air filter or K&N.
