I think if is reasonably priced, I will purchase the outer ones for the 2019 which I assume has the drop down button on them. I also assume that they will fit my 2020. :p
My 2019 Lariat has the fold downs....I assumed they were to let the back seat clear the front seats when you fold it down, but I do leave them down for visibility as well.

Every feature you have in your current vehicle is just there because some bean counter hasn't figured out how to remove it yet.

My super cab has fold down headrests and the seat back is fixed to the rear wall.

HenryMac- is that what the back looks like with the seats removed, or did you get rear seat delete?
Yes, I just removed the seat cushions (they have a strap you pull and the seats pop right off). I thought about getting the rear seat delete option but I'm glad I didn't because it also includes removing the seat belts. The seat belts are awesome for securing coolers and luggage. And I'm of the opinion that the "rear seat delete" will affect re-sale value.. in a bad way.

Yes, I was involved in the early thread about the pivoting head rests. I had for three months a 2019 Ranger; Ford repurchased it because it was a lemon. The day I turned it in, I ordered a 2020. In December of 2019, my 2020 Ranger arrived. The very first thing I noticed was the lack of pivoting head rests. Also very obvious, the size was increased so the three headrests occupied 38% of the rear window area. Phil Schilke had his usual great incite as he has explained. I asked my dealership if I could get the pivoting ones. THEY QUOTED ME $900. I have removed the center headrest for better viability.

I have removed the rear headrests in my 2020 supercrew and store them behind the backrest of the rear seat. They fit nicely there and I can easily install them when needed. Not as convenient as the folding headrests in the 2019s but better than storing them in the garage or house.
