I'm looking for finishing design ideas and inspiration to re-build my rear seat area. The seats, belts, trim, and anchors have all been removed already. I'm thinking a back wall cabinet with sliding doors, new sub-floor maybe 6-8 inches above the storage pods, using using lift doors for under storage access.

I have most of it in mind, but am sure some of you have great ideas I could, um steal. I mean, imitation is the ultimate flattery!

Show me your pics, and tell me your secrets.

I've been thinking about doing something with the back seat, too. I'd like my dog to ride on the space behind the passenger seat (on a dog bed), but I need somewhere to put some other gear and/or hang a suit jacket when I'm working. I don't envision a scenario where I'll need to travel with people back there so maybe it is time to think of a better way to use this space. If I come up with anything interesting, I'll post here. And if you guys do something, post some pics here please.

I ordered my STX this way. I wish Ford offered it across all the trim levels. I would have ordered an XLT if they did. It's very handy to have the space in back if it's raining.

Ya, that is great for Scab. I like allot of things about Scab, but just can't make it work for me, in a mid-size. I'd have been all over that for my Screw.

I did this a few weeks back or so. (With some help from the wife with the stitching around the edges).

I made a platform for our pups to ride along in... it's been a success to this point as they were notorious for getting car sick in our other vehicles, but have yet to on the platform.

That looks like a nice set-up. They look like happy hounds, and a happy wife.

I have yet to tackle that issue... When I'm on the highway, I'll turn on the re-circ for the ventilation and it'll close those rear vents. That helps quite a bit.

I do understand. Luckily we have another vehicle with more doors, and the Ranger isn't our main mode of travel.

I wish these damn seats folded flat! I have two portable fridge/freezers I through in the back seat, and a flatter surface would be much better for them. Eventually I'd like to do some sort of load floor seat delete that I can swap in and out for the seats. The problem there though is the storage of the seats when they're out of the truck.
