Just curious do your Front Seat headrest's lock in place, I don't have the style that folds forward, I'm just annoyed with both seats. I like the headrest all the way down (comfort position) and while driving the headrest will go up on its own- tried swapping Dr & Pass - No Help
The rods have 3 detents in them but only (1) of them will positively lock the headrest position. (Where you have to press the release button) to move the headrest up or down and of course it's in the full upward position. I see the upper 2 detents have a bevel and the bottom one does not have the bevel (so the positive lock)

I was just curious are they all this way or does the ones that fold forward have a better design?

I think I might just see if there is a adjustment to where I can create more tension on the rods, or wrap rod with some tape - hate to wrap it though

My 2021 Lariat look just like yours. You can raise them without needing to press the button, but you must press the button to lower them. No tilt feature on mine either. I keep the driver side all the way up and the passenger side on the middle setting. I don’t know of any of them moving on their own.

No tilt for me, and they slide up, sometimes on their own, easily.

I've never had the headrest move on its own, and my truck is old enough that ford hadn't taken away all the nice features yet.

What in tarnation gravity repulsing condition is going on here?
I have no scientific answer for why they go up on their own.

On the front seats?
Yes, am I the only one that has adjustable headrests. Of course they adjust up and down but also tilt fore and aft tilt. The fore and aft have 6 ratcheting positions. I owned the vehicle for quite awhile before figuring this out

I have a 2021 Lariat, loaded...but I guess Ford in their wisdom saw fit to just include upper and downer headrests...no tilt.
The replacements for the rear seats (its a Scab) under the recall are tilties.

That just seems odd. Just an FYI, I have to pull forward on the headrest and then it allows it to tilt. If I push aft, it won,t allow it to move

Mine tilt/ratchet.

The rear ones also fold down.

They are all firm in position too and don't move unless you want them moved.
