I’ve been trying half an hour to remove the dash tray to install the Bulletpoint mount. I can get it to the point where I see the two blue tabs, but cannot get them to pop.

Anyone have experience with dash tray removal. I saw one thread. Tried everything in it with no success, I’m surprised I didn’t break it yet 🤬

You might, try harder!

Seriously, try this thread…..

I think @Floyd found that the key is to get a long screwdriver in where you see those clips and pry up from there. The post also shows the back of the tray, which might be helpful.

With today’s plastic trim for everything on a car, you are very lucky if you do not break any clips.

Got it finally! Just needed more force and some luck. Didn’t break anything.
I installed mine yesterday and like you I thought here goes more broken clips but I too escaped the pain of breaking anything and the the install was went surprisingly smooth and the finished product is pretty damn cool 😎

I wrestled mine out but getting it to seat back in was the PITA that I had.

Yep. Put mine on a few weeks ago and found that if you over-tighten the four base fasteners it will distort the tray just enough to bring out the f-bombs :(
