I'd guess shock as a possibility. He couldn't get to the top first try so he planned to go about half way down under power and whip a shitty and head back up. Only he lost control and went into panic shock in the final seconds. Many road crashes happen the same way. Drivers fixate on the guardrail or barrier and drive right into it.Stuck throttle? Some kind of medical emergency? Any back story there? That just seems awfully weird.
