This will definitely lower and raise the gate and you can do it remotely so your cement calloused lime dust coated hands can finally absorb all that Working Hands lotion

Should be a reward for this mod!!

In fairness, it’s tougher to operate a tailgate when you have a Guinness in one hand and a bottle of Jamieson in the other.

ok...Damper-Damper-Damper.....ever since joining this forum I keep dreaming about Dampers!...and, yes, I did install one....heck I even proposed someone trialing a duel damper setup to make it even easier and allow for a backup in the event of a failure.

But.........
Wouldn't it be nice (and a terrible problem solved) if pickups in general came with the SAME AUTO LIFTGATE (TAILGATE) SETUP as pretty much all SUV/CUV's? Seriously, why don't they?

Now I realize that the impact to this forum would be huge and what in the heck would we make fun of if Dampers were a thing of the past? Let's all ponder that for a bit.

I honestly never knew about dampers until I bought my Tacoma. They come standard on them and it was a nice feature. Heck all my F 150's never had them and they were some heavy SOB's. But lets not get crazy now and suggest every pickup came standard with one or I'll be out of business! ?
