If I ever got my truck rangerdanger, I will let you know. Now I have a N/A on delivery. It must be the weather delaying shipment.

I noticed the XLT I looked at this afternoon was identical to this. It really does look unfinished. I was able to wiggle it a few mm in either direction as well.

I was finally able to test drive one today - it was an XLT and when the salesman was driving it off the lot I noticed it did look rather unfinished and there was quite a bit of space around the lock cylinder. This looks to be a valid complaint. Not terrible, but it is kind of bad looking. I could see how you could get a key stuck in there if you weren't careful.

It does look like ass....a fail on Ford's part. Looks like you have to go spelunking to get the key in there (by the above pic).

So it's confirmed that all XL & XLT will not have the key cylinder bezel? It should be an illuminated ring to finish it off. Yes, it does look unfinished.
There I go with that word cheezy again.

I'm going to call this confirmed with no official solution. "It's not a bug, it's a feature".

Dealer acted like I was from outer space. Took me to the service manager and he said that he had never heard about this to it was not real. Like I was weird for giggling my keys and I was making it move around.22AA8413-CDC1-454C-9BB1-42300A08B640.jpeg

Hey guys, a friend pointed out that my ignition looks like it’s missing a cover or something. I haven’t had time to go to the dealer to look at another one. I’ll post a picture. If anyone has the time to post a pic of theirs that’d be great.

Apparently this is normal for the XL and XLT models.

If I had an XLT I'd probably order the "cheap fix" that @rangerdanger posted earlier. It is only a couple bucks and would finish that area off well it seems.

    Quite cheezy of Ford, though....
