Well, today was the day of reckoning.

I got offered stupid money for my truck, the caveat being that they would keep my aftermarket add-ons.

This was above the number I had set for myself and probably above what I could've sold the aftermarket stuff for after returning the truck to stock.

And.................................










I kept my Ranger.

When it came down to it, I just liked it too much to let it go.

At least that itch has now been scratched and the itch relief creme is apparently spelled R A N G E R.

yeah, I feel ya. I have very specific wants/needs, and I wouldn't be able to replace it, so they would need to give me stupid money, and they weren't even close. I usually keep cars a long time, but if PHEV comes out then I will buy that for my long haul truck

Still can't get an offer on my '21 online anywhere. So...taking it over to my local Ford dealer this afternoon to see what they'd offer out of curiosity. If I can walk away with $5,000+, I might just let it go. Been thinking about just driving my fun car for the summer, save up for a larger down payment, then get back in the truck market in the fall/winter when things are hopefully stabilizing, but who really knows. While I don't hate the Ranger by any means, it does leave me still desiring a few features that I went without.

As a follow-up (for anyone who cares lol), my closest dealer only offered $34,000. Considering it's cleaner now than when I picked it up brand new, and still has less than 4,000 miles on it, I walked away. Thinking about trying some other larger dealers in the area.
