Mack, PPF is the way to go for sure. But, you'll need to have the "chips" repaired first. I have PPF on my GM plastic car, and the wife's Mustang. Very early on the Mustang recieved a pin head chip on the hood, before the PPF. I thought it would be OK to go ahead with the PPF, but you can see that little bitty "nick" easily through the PPF.

Also, another tip. The PPF is only as good as the installer. I researched every installer within a 20 miles radius to find the best. I went with the XPel Ultimate, and luckily I found a great installer.

Chips are chips. It's a truck. Not a super car. Drive it and be happy.

My very first new vehicle I was concerned about this. I learned quickly that touch up paint is a pain in the ass and often looks worse than the chip it was covering.

Modern paint is shit, thank your local hippy for that.

Like the others, PPF is the way to prevent them. I went with Incognito on the Ranger and the Subie.

Thank you sir … I’m a horrible review Nazi Jew. ???

I will make sure to find a good installer with the right amount of reviews with the 4.7 or higher of stars. It’s the way I do restaurants too.. in city’s I’m not aware of ?
