My 2020 Ranger with 26 K mileage started bucking and now shows a check engine light. If I use the gear selector switch on the shifter and downshift to maintain rpms between 2500 and 3500, I can minimize the bucking. Initially, I thought the problem was in the tranny. However when I tried to make an appt with the dealer, I was told the dealer remotely looked at the truck and it shows a misfire. I was also told by the dealer that if it’s a transmission issue, they could look at it on Dec 26. If it’s a misfire, they can look at it on Nov 1st. Needless to say, I’m disappointed with the truck and service.
yesterday I drove it in the morning and it ran fine For the 1st and only time this month. However, an afternoon trip produced the bucking and acceleration problem. Anyone have any clue what’s going on with this issue?
